Chris Holmes

Chris (Christine) Holmes is a graphic designer by day and paranormal fiction writer by night. She has designed more than 400 book covers—including her own—and is a three-time Gold winner of the Florida Writers Association’s Royal Palm Literary Awards.

Her newest release, Grim, a werewolf biker fantasy romance, is the first book in her Wryven Brothers Werewolves series. She spends an unreasonable amount of time imagining werewolves, witches, motorcycles, dangerous attractions, and other trouble for the Wryven brothers.

Chris lives in Central Florida, where her own pack includes Mavis, a sweet pittie-mix who takes her duties as author assistant very seriously.

Her debut novel, Light A Candle: Chase the Devil Away, won Gold in the 2019 Royal Palm Literary Awards in the Blended Genre category for horror/urban fantasy. Vamped, The Turning earned Gold in 2020 for urban fantasy/romance and was also named Fourth Runner-Up for the FWA Book of the Year Award. Veil of Thorns earned her third Gold in the Blended Genre category for urban fantasy/romance.

Her novella, Inky: Nice Neighborhood. Bad Cat., has been described by readers and reviewers as “Stephen Kingish.”
