Cheryl Obermiller

Founder of the Missouri based Obermiller Construction and locally known as The PotHole Queen, Cheryl Obermiller is an expert in small business financial fraud. She learned it the old-fashioned way. Creating her construction company in 1993, she built it into a successful multi-million-dollar company, with dozens of employees. In 2010, she discovered a major embezzlement from a trusted employee, costing her in excess of $1,000,000 and countless hours of her time. With tenacity and grit, she defended her company against out-of-control IRS representatives; spear-headed the prosecution that sent the embezzler to prison; and did it while raising eight children.

She speaks to a variety of business groups and associations on fraud prevention and detection, educating them on the very real risk fraud poses for their organizations and what they can do about it.
