There is power in words. So much power that sometimes, I believe that we don't recognize how much power we have. Words can lift a soul out of oblivion. Words can also send souls there. Some may call it exaggerating, but the power of a pencil is like a sword to a dragon. There is no greater power than how we construct our words, for they have the ability to create dragons, but they also have the power to slay them. I started writing to slay the dragons I saw. The ones that no one else wanted to slay. The monstrous beasts that plague our society needed someone to fight, so why not me?
High school was full of dragons and evil creatures. It seemed that around every corner lurked a beast just waiting to tare someone down and gobble them in two. Why was the world like this? Why did it matter if he liked theater, and she was happy with the way she looked? Was your opinion supposed to alter her reflection? Most of us would say no! Telling the girl to hold on because she loves herself and that's all that matters! However for some reason it did alter her reflection, changing it into something else; something 'no one' liked. And here is the problem that I can't get over, why are there so many dragon creators when we should all hope to be slayers? I still don't know, but what I do know is that my pencil and I enjoy being dragon slayers and I hope that with a bit of inspiration, you hope to be one as well!
