Stephen Boorman (1954 - ) born in Pembury, Kent UK. Grew up nearby in Tonbridge and trained as a communications engineer.
At the age of 36 returned to University of Greenwich to train as a Science teacher.
From 1998 took a post as Housemaster and teacher at a state boarding school near Woking Surrey. In 2014 he retired.
He has always been interested in making things and challenging himself.
Writing children's books came out of one of those 'wonder if I can do that?' light bulb moments when reading to his children and realising the need for lots of discussion points. It would also need to be engaging for the reader too.
He is very pleased with his first book 'Professor Potts cycles into trouble' the feedback has been very encouraging. The sequel 'Professor Potts pedals the canoe' is now available and getting a great response.
