L. K. (Laurie) Lien and his wife live in the San Francisco Bay Area when they are not traveling around the U.S.A. during summer months or wintering somewhere tropically warm.

Laurie has written as a hobby/compulsion most of his life and retirement has provided the opportunity to share with a wider audience. Subjects vary from fantasy to topical politics. His stories are filled with interesting characters drawn from a lifetime who have provided lessons, great and small.
