Retired Librarian, active antiquarian bookman, historian of early crafts, trades and industries. Publisher of The Toolemera Press imprint since 2006. I created The Toolemera Press website as well as the Print On Demand imprint in order to preserve the printed history of industry and trades. While digital copies are convenient, Librarians know all to well that digital is temporary while paper is long lasting.

To date I've nearly 30 titles in print, all well known or little known but classic books on early trades and crafts. While woodworking is my primary focus, there are titles on topics as varied as Farriery, Cooking and Military. All books are produced from original copies in my personal library, on high end scanners and cameras. Post imaging is completed on a Mac in Photoshop Elements, Adobe Acrobat and other software. The intent is to produce a re-publication that looks like the original.

While a minor stroke and back surgery have slowed me down some, I persist. I try to publish new titles each year, focusing on such topics as Sloyd / Slojd, Hand Tool Woodworking and Architecture.
