James M. Fiore

James Fiore is Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering Technology with over 40 years of teaching and course development experience in ABET accredited programs in the State University of New York system. He is the author of several Open Educational Resource texts and laboratory manuals along with numerous articles in trade journals and technical magazines covering the areas of electronic design, programming, and electronic music production. In support of his texts, he maintains the "Electronics with Professor Fiore" YT video channel. Professor Fiore is a recipient of the State University of New York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship, and the MVCC Aeries Award for Community Service. In 2025 he was inducted into the MVCC Hall of Fame. He is an advocate for OER and author/artist rights. In his spare time he enjoys music, running, biking, kayaking, skiing and drawing cartoons.
