Jennifer Romano

Jennifer Romano, a wife, mother of two sons, and high school counselor, grew up in Southern Massachusetts in a (then) rural town bordered by horse farms, open lawns, and property-dividing stone walls.

Inspiration for her non-fiction book, "Surviving the College Application Process" comes from direct experience as a school counselor working with students and families navigate the college planning and research platform. Jenn's personal experience with her own two college-applying teens offers keen insight from the parent perspective as well.

Jenn's fiction book inspiration stems from her own experiences growing up as a child exploring her own yard and seeing once again the discovery of nature through the eyes of her own children. The character development of Lop and Llama, was inspired by the author's own cherished pet, Floppy - a Holland, long-eared brindled lop whom she had for eight years, while other character traits rollout from years of companionship with her five wire-haired Dachshunds.
