Yvonne Bates

Yvonne Bates is a leading psychotherapist, writer, editor and lecturer specializing in managing and treating anxiety and in what happens when therapy goes wrong. A pioneer of the “Client Voice Movement”, Yvonne’s controversial book “Shouldn’t I Be Feeling Better by Now? Client views of therapy” was shortlisted for the Mind Book of the Year award in 2005 and is now a standard text on many counseling and therapy training courses. As a lifelong anxiety sufferer herself, in her latest anxiety self-help book Yvonne introduces a radical new approach to dealing with anxiety in a personal and down-to-earth way, providing the reader with a wide range of techniques to identify the different reasons for anxiety and to treat each one efficiently and effectively. Yvonne also provides a personal, one-to-one Skype-based workshop to help implement the concepts from the book.
