J. L. Hawk grew up and spends his life in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior Navy Veteran his attention is mostly abroad, learning languages and traveling to mystic locations around the globe.

In his spare time, he enjoys a variety of crafts, writing was something he gravitated to at an early age, and has several ideas that he would love to put paper.

He loves a variety of books: some favorite authors are Brent Weeks, Terry Goodkind, Robert Jackson Bennett, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Richard Castle and Jim Butcher.
