J. Richard Coe

J. Richard Coe, CFP®, CLU is a well-known financial educator with clients from coast to coast. He is a native of Wichita, KS. In 1983 he became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and founded the financial planning business now known as Coe Financial Services. He earned his MBA from The University of Chicago (now called Chicago Booth) in 1974 with majors in Finance and Accounting. He has been interviewed by ABC TV’s “Secret Millionaire” James Malinchak and Kevin Harrington, original shark on SharkTank.

Richard's writing commenced in the 5th grade because his teacher Mrs. Childs required a theme a week. Richard is still grateful for his mother's support and encouragement with those writing assignments.

While in junior high school in the early 1960s he started investing in stocks with money earned from his paper route and from mowing lawns.

Richard is the past President of the Financial Planning Association of Kansas, the Wichita Estate Planning Council and the Wichita Rotary Charitable Fund.

Richard has been married to Deb since 1982 and they have two married sons, David and Doug, and five grandchildren. He enjoys reading and traveling. He also enjoys his work as President of Coe Financial Services more than ever and has no plans to retire. As the creator of The Abundant Wealth Process, Richard and his team help business owners, professionals, executives, and women on their own preserve, protect and pass on their wealth.
