Lisa J Laird

Lisa J Laird lives in Iowa with her husband, Alan, and their dog, Stanley. Lisa is also a ventriloquist who performs for families and children all over the Midwest with her cast of puppet friends known as Pockets Full of Fun. Her first book, I'm the Only One Who Loves Cliff the Goat, was written to chronicle the true stories of what happened when they owned a pygmy goat named Cliff. She and her husband co-wrote Cows Can Be Scary, inspired by the sometimes scary cows that grazed in the field behind their house. Lisa's career as a ventriloquist has inspired some of the writing she has done as well. Lisa and Stanley are a Certified Therapy Team with Paws For Friendship, Inc which has inspired several of the books starring Stanley! Stanley is also part of her cast and has quickly become of favorite of the children.
