Denise Powell is a native of Tallahassee, Florida, and a graduate of Florida A&M University. She also earned an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.The U.S. Navy veteran watched many friends and associates move to metro Atlanta over years, only to return to their hometowns months later. Intent on breaking this cycle and succeeding, Denise was proactive and vetted the city by getting the answers to key questions that she outlines in Welcome to the A! The things she did right and the things she did wrong motivated her to write this guide, in hopes of making other new ATLiens' moves to Georgia a lot smoother and fee- and fine-free.
