Mike Brousard

Mike Brousard was a Lifeguard on the beaches of Southern California for 5 decades, a career he describes as “gratifying and challenging beyond my wildest dreams.” After working on the front lines for 30 years as a beach guard, rescue boat operator and Peace Officer, he served as Chief Lifeguard at both Huntington and San Clemente State Beaches. Born in Sioux City, Iowa and raised in Long Beach, California, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from UCLA in 1978. He lives with his family in San Clemente, California.
