Yvette Canoura

Yvette Canoura is the winner of the 2019 Louisiana Author Project in the adult fiction category and the 2021 NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for best multicultural fiction for her debut novel, Mediterranean Sunset. Her second book in the series, Children of Antarah, is also a 2022 NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement Award winner for best multicultural thriller.

Canoura is a journalist who began her career as a newspaper writer at the age of 16 in Puerto Rico. She studied broadcasting at Loyola University in New Orleans. She created and hosted Voces Hispanas, a talk show that aired on two Big Easy radio stations, and won several Associated Press Awards.

Canoura works on her book translations with a partner to guarantee the essence and the quality of her books remain intact. Both novels are available in Spanish: ATARDECER MEDITERRÁNEO and LOS HIJOS DE ANTARAH.
