I was born in 1972 and grew up in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. I never set out to be an Author or Speaker on the subject of CSA but my life led me that way. I guess it just felt right at that time, and still does. My debut book, Don’t Hold Back, is a self-help book, published in 2018, to encourage others to find their voice, and to give thought and process into the difficulties around CSA, rejection, abandonment – all based on my story.
When I left school I was told I was a failure, the girl going nowhere and had a juvenile delinquent badge slapped on me when I was aged 13 years old by my psychiatrist. Being labelled at such an early age in life came with many difficulties. Most people thought I would be dead or in prison by the time I was 20 - fortunately neither - although for many the resultant mental trauma from CSA is prison enough.
Disclaimer - I didn’t achieve what I have without a lot of therapy & support around me. I do NOT advise anyone to speak up, share anything about your personal story in public until you have a greater understanding of you, your journey, what you are facing and how you are facing it. I hope you consider this before doing anything in public that could potentially cripple your world.
