Jay Kamara Frederick

Dr. Leonora Muhammad, DNP BSN AGPCNP-BC CCHP-CP was born on the northside of the poverty and crime ridden streets of St. Louis, Missouri. She was raised in a single parent household and sparked an interest in nursing at the young age of 14. She has since become a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Keynote and International Speaker, Educator, and SVP, Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) in the field of correctional healthcare. She has been a practicing nurse for over 21 years.

She has obtained multiple certifications and achievements including Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional-Clinical Provider (CCHP-CP), American Heart Association- Basic Life Support Instructor, UMSL College of Nursing Alumni Award, National Commission on Correctional Healthcare (NCCHC) Young Professional Award, National Black Nursing Association (NBNA) Administrative Nurse of the Year, NBNA 40 and Under Award, Impact Player Award, and many more.

Dr. Muhammad also is the owner of SiiN Institute, LLC, SiiN Rentals, SiiN Love Publishing, and Optics by Nony B. Photography as she has established herself as a freelance photographer specializing in event photography. She is currently serving as a CCHP Board of Trustees and Co Chair for the Young Professionals Committee for NCCHC, Board Member of the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank, along with serving as Executive Board Member/ Secretary for the NBNA, and Immediate Past President the Black Nurses Association of Greater St. Louis (BNASTL).

Dr. Muhammad is married with 2 children and as a hobby she loves taking photos and traveling around the world. She has published two books with her first book Tear the Veil being named #1 Hot Release and is an Amazon Bestseller. Her second effort is the Let's Be Safe Workbook: Keeping your Mind, Body and Homes Safe for Kindergarten- 5th graders.
