George Horner

George is an author from Hampshire and he has written and self-published three books. His first book titled: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒑𝒍𝒖𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 was an experimental piece, which gave a true account of himself at an earlier stage in his life. At the same time of self-publishing his first book, George accomplished his post-graduate degree in nursing and graduated from the University of Southampton.

Since becoming a qualified nurse, George has developed his career in healthcare, working full-time as a wound care specialist for a community nursing service within his local NHS Trust. Throughout his first couple of years as a qualified nurse, he wrote his second book: 𝑯𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚. This book provides multiple reflections of how the coronavirus outbreak altered his occupation as a healthcare professional in the community.

George has most recently self-published his third book titled: 𝑩𝒆𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝒚𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒎, which is a follow-on medical memoir from his previous book. It's filled with more experiences in his life as a community nurse in the aftermath of the recent global pandemic. It's a continuation of diary entries, starting from the beginning of 2021 and finishing right at the end of 2023. It provides more in-depth stories and brings out a range of emotions in the diverse world of community nursing.

George aims to continue making a positive difference in people’s lives as a valued member of the nation’s most treasured organisation.

Adam Kay, Christie Watson and Mark Manson are authors who have been in the spotlight in recent times, and they are both very successful writers who have influenced the way George writes. George is particularly inspired by these authors' insightful concepts whilst gripping the readers with expressive statements and adding in a bit of humour too for good measure!
