Janet Groom

JANET GROOM is an inspirational author and creative soul who writes to uplift, empower and spark joy.

She is best known for her fiction series 'The Naked Knitting Club' and her heartwarming tales set in 'Herne Bay by the Sea'.

Alongside her adult fiction and self-development non-fiction, Janet also writes enchanting children’s books designed to inspire kindness, courage and imagination in young readers. Her stories gently weave in themes of self-belief, compassion and environmental awareness—encouraging children to dream big and make a positive difference in the world.

Having overcome her own challenges, including premature menopause and several near-death experiences, Janet now channels her experiences into soulful writing that touches hearts across generations.

She now lives on the Kent coast in the UK with her husband and their cheeky Cockapoo pup, finding daily inspiration in nature and the magic of storytelling.

Janet has studied Linguistics and Creative Writing through the OU and followed it up with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing (Distinction).

Janet's love of words continues to grow and develop through exploring writing in multiple genres.
