Sarah Smart

Sarah K. Smart is a native to the mountains of NC and has lived on her family farm her whole life. After moving to NC State University she was later diagnosed with two forms of aggressive cancer. After overcoming cancers and later a fire that destroyed a large portion of her family farm she returned to NC State. Double majoring in Agriculture Science and International Studies. She published her debut novel in late 2018 "Be Still" inspired by the wonder of God during the tragic year of her life. Now as a young college student she works on her academics, research, and writing. She has won two consecutive awards in English and Literature Achievement and Excellence. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her twin brothers and family filled with barnyard critters including her favorite cow, Roxanne.
