Michael Chandler

Michael Chandler is a security and counter-intelligence specialist, and Chief Operating Officer of The Vanquish Group, an international security, intelligence, and training organisation.

With experience in the industry since 2008, he specialises in close protection, surveillance, and technical counter-intelligence, advising high-net-worth individuals, corporate organisations, and government bodies on threat mitigation, protective strategy, and risk management.

Chandler began his career in close protection, operating within high-profile environments including film premieres, award ceremonies, and private assignments. He later developed expertise in surveillance and counter-surveillance, progressing into international operations and leadership roles within private security and investigative organisations.

His work evolved into complex threat-led engagements, supporting clients who had been subjected to targeted risks. This led to the development of intelligence-led protection methodologies and training programmes that integrate investigative, surveillance, and close protection disciplines.

He is the founder of TSCM International, a specialist technical security organisation providing technical surveillance countermeasures and counter-intelligence services globally. As Chief Operating Officer of The Vanquish Group, he oversees operations across multiple regions, including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, and Africa.

Chandler has acted as an advisor and trainer to multiple government agencies internationally, including the Australian Department of Defence, the Ghana Bureau of National Investigations, and the British Home Office, delivering training in areas such as counter-surveillance, threat detection, and technical counter-intelligence.

He is the author of multiple publications and training programmes focused on close protection and counter-intelligence. His published works include Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and The Art of Protection: Close Protection Utilising Designated, Incidental and Counter-Intelligence. He is currently writing a further publication titled Technical Counter-Intelligence.

His training programmes have attracted candidates from across the world, reflecting the international scope of his work and the operational focus of his methodologies.
