Uri Dotan Bochner

Uri Dotan Bochner is an Israeli author who was born in Jerusalem to Holocaust survivors. He spent his military service in the Israeli Navy in the submarine flotilla. Following his military service, Dotan Bochner studied at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Later, he served his country in Berlin and in Pretoria, witnessing firsthand the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the end of the apartheid regime in South Africa respectively. As a child and as an adult, Dotan Bochner lived in many different towns and countries, an experience that affected his writing and helped create his cosmopolitan worldview.
