Anne is an author, spiritual director, workshop presenter, and leader of Not Alone small groups for women. She is also a survivor of childhood sexual molestation. Although therapy was necessary, deeper healing has occurred by spending time with God, engaging in various spiritual practices. As she started sharing her story, many people have shared their stories with her. This led to creating the workbook, "Not Alone: A Christ-Centered Recovery Process for Women who have Experienced Physical, Emotional or Sexual Trauma" (2019). It gives her joy to see women become freer to live as the beautiful woman they were created to be.
Anne's second book, "Transforming Trauma and Accompanying Survivors" (2020) provides spiritual practices that heal for both men and women along with true stories of survivors. There is a Part II written for priests, pastors, spiritual directors, mentors, and family who come alongside survivors.
Two articles written by Anne were published in 2019: "Accompanying Survivors of Trauma" by Human Development Magazine and "Spiritual Direction with Trauma Survivors" by Presence Magazine.
Anne is a retired Audiologist. Following retirement, she obtained certification as a spiritual director. She moved from assisting people to hear their outer world to helping others listen to their internal world. She is a mother, grandmother, and enjoys swimming and dancing. Anne and her husband live in San Diego, CA.
