Hello, I have worked to be an artist for most of my life. I am an Author, Singer/Songwriter and a Fine Artist. I grew up studying all different types of art, concentrating mainly on pen and inks, and eventually oil painting as my mediums of choice. I have won many awards for my artwork over the years.
I have a great love of music, having grown up in a household where music was played almost constantly, mainly my father’s opera records at a very high volume. Having written and sung music from an early age, these days I participate online in different music project with musicians all around the world using a music service called Kompoz. I have created music with people in over twenty countries in a wide variety of styles. My music can be found on several streaming sites such as Spotify, Pandora, and Soundcloud.
Though I have written poetry and some fiction over the years, The Rain Drinkers is my first attempt at publishing. It is my second book, the first book was not published for personal reasons.
Originally from the town of Bay Shore, NY on Long Island. I live with my wife in Orlando, Fl.

The original story for The Rain Drinkers was inspired from a very old photograph I came across in a library years ago. I was looking for reference material for an art project I was thinking of doing when I came across this very old photo. The picture is very much as described in the opening of the book. That picture and the idea of the story I saw in it stayed with me for decades. Over the years I made a couple of attempts to start writing it but was always interrupted for one reason or another. Finally, I did make a start and let nothing stop me until it was completed.
The story changed greatly from the original tale I had in my head to what it is now. The original idea centered almost completely on only the three main characters. But I felt the storyline was too similar to James Cain’s “The Postman Always Rings Twice”, which I suppose was one of the main reasons I kept putting off writing it.
Eventually, when I did start writing it, the story poured forth naturally as I hoped it would.
I hope you enjoy the story. I really enjoyed writing the book and especially writing about a town for which I still hold great Love and wonderful memories, though it is many years since I have lived there.
