Timothy Stephens

Timothy J. Stephens is a historian and is a national expert in public health and emergency preparedness and author of numerous policy papers on infectious diseases. He has been a national public health leader and commentator for more than twenty years. He writes a weekly column advising risk managers on public health threats. Tim advises numerous healthcare and security companies and owns his own business. He serves on numerous boards, including the U.S. Health and Human Services Private Sector Critical Infrastructure Protection, and was for 10 years the Public Health Advisor to the National Sheriffs Association. He held elected office in the District of Columbia and has managed numerous political campaigns. Originally from Cheltenham, England, he became an American by choice. Tim has a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism, and an undergraduate degree is in Film and English from the University of Warwick, England.
