Joe Lafferty

Joe Lafferty is a Pittsburgh born and bred child of God. He graduated from Woodland Hills High School and coached football there for thirteen years. Lafferty studied marketing and sports management at Mercyhurst College and the University of Memphis while working in their respective athletic departments. Joe has experienced several "once-in-a-lifetime" moments, including beating childhood cancer, becoming friends with Dan Marino while a teen, losing his vision in one eye, coaching several future NFL players while they were in high school, and dying for seven minutes when he was 35. He has endured a kidney and pancreas transplant. In this memoir, Joe narrates his story while celebrity friends and family share their perspective of Joe's fight for life. After beating the toughest challenges, Joe finally discovered the love for which he'd always searched. Her name is Jennifer.
