At the age of nine, Curran Dee founded DigCitKids, digital citizenship for kids by kids. DigCitKids is an opportunity for kids to inspire and empower other kids to use technology for good. As the Chief Kid Officer (CKO) of DigCitKids, he is currently a sixth grader who plays hockey, soccer, and basketball; he’s a gamer, as well as international speaker and a student Ignite speaker at ISTE.
He is also a two-time TEDxYouth speaker, and his talk have been used as professional development for educators as a way to encourage connected learning for students everywhere: “If you want us to learn about the world, we need to learn with the world.”
Curran has partnered with his mother and the two are a recognized professionally as a mother/son digital citizenship team. The dynamic duo model best practices while working with parents, educators, students and community organizations.
