Rob Hoxton

A. R. (Rob) Hoxton IV, CFP®, AIF, is a thirty-year veteran of the financial services industry and is a Managing Director of United Capital Financial Advisers. Rob is a two-time author and adjunct professor of financial planning at the Shepherd University College of Business. He has appeared on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” and has been interviewed for articles in The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Business Week, and Money Magazine. He served on the national board of The Financial Planning Association and was instrumental in the establishment of the Shepherd University financial planning program. He lives in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and St. Michaels, Maryland with his wife and high school sweetheart, Mary Logan Hoxton. Julia M. Connell, CFP®, MBA, MSFP, MPAS, is a Managing Director of United Capital Financial Advisers, LLC. A former hospital finance executive and healthcare consultant, Julia bring twenty-five years of experience and a unique perspective to the financial planning needs of a wide array of professionals. Julia earned her MBA from West Virginia University and Master’s Degree in financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®®) and Master Planner Advanced Studies (MPAS). Julia lives in Winchester, Virginia. She is active in community services organizations and has served as president of the Winchester Rotary Club.
