Helina C Bailey

I am a tri-cultural single mom to two wild boys, living on a small homestead in the Appalachian mountains. Being a mix of Japanese, Native American, and Colombian has afforded me the opportunity to taste the flavors of very different worlds. However, having my feet planted strongly in these different cultures while growing up in the U.S. was not always easy. As a child, I often struggled with my cultural identity and feeling like I did not fit in. My writing is inspired by my experiences, my culture, my struggles, and my triumphs.
