Gregory Thomas Jeffers

Gregory Thomas Jeffers is a philosopher, student of American history, self-reliant farmer, and former Wall Street financier. He is the fifth son of William and Vivian Jeffers.

Born and raised in Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, New York to a working-class family in a rough-and-tumble neighborhood, Gregory attended Transfiguration School and Sleepy Hollow High School and participated in boxing, grappling, and football. He started working when he was 13.

Self-educated, Gregory worked in the financial markets for Bear Stearns before opening his member firm, GT Jeffers & Co., in 1998.

He now lives on a self-reliant family farm powered by workhorses in an Amish and Mennonite settlement in rural America where he writes full time and raises cattle and sheep and a massive vegetable garden.
