Wes Booker

George Wesley Booker II, 2017 Class member of the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame (1991 NAIA National Football Champions) grew up in White Hall, Arkansas. Only three years old when his father died, Wes s mother focused on good morals and Christian principles he Honors to this day. After graduating from White Hall High School, Wes played football for the University of Central Arkansas Bears, where he graduated with a Bachelor s degree in Business Administration. Wes moved back to White Hall and quickly became part of the fabric of his community. He founded, through a God-given vision, a professional minor league team fro late-bloomers: the Central Arkansas Rhinos. As head coach and general manager, he used the team as a conduit to offer good players an opportunity to play longer and to be seen by the arena league and the NFL. In 2002, within months of starting with Farm Bureau Insurance Company, Wes broke a myriad of life insurance records. He won the National Sales Achievement Award two years in a row and the National Multiline Sales Award, six years in a row, among other prestigious awards. At the same time, Wes was officiating football. After officiating at the high school level, he was invited to officiate in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and then currently in Southeastern Conference (SEC). In 2013, Wes received the honor of being inducted into the White Hall Sports Hall of Fame. Continuing in the SEC, Wes is also the owner and CEO of his own insurance agency, creator and director of his own officiating camp and a motivational speaker. He serves on various boards and volunteers in whatever capacity he is needed, including mentoring at an elementary school in his hometown. From player to coach to SEC Football Official, and from employee to employer, Wes leads with a servant s heart and a football player s passion.
