Skyler Anderson

Skyler Anderson was born in the safe bubble of Provo, Utah, but grew up in Sin City Las Vegas, Nevada. He has always loved writing, arguing, sarcasm, and sticking it to the man. This quite naturally led to his decision to become an immigration attorney.

Skyler received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in English from Brigham Young University in 2007, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah in 2009. Skyler has practiced immigration law since 2010, and is a co-founder of Anderson & Benson, PLLC. He has represented immigrants before immigration courts throughout the United States, in addition to the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

In addition his inexplicable enjoyment of writing tedious legal arguments, Skyler loves creative writing. This unusual combination led to the writing of his first novel, The Right Way, a fictional account taking the reader deep into the labyrinth of modern U.S. immigration law, confronting the conflicting interests of politics, religion, the law, and human decency, showing that immigrating “the right way” is not as simple as waiting at the end of a line. Skyler lives in West Bountiful, Utah, with his fiercely supportive wife, Kim, and their four kids.
