Penny Handscomb

Penny Handscomb has lived and worked in the UK, US, Canada, Israel, and spent a significant amount of time in emerging markets where she has helped build businesses with a main focus on human capital. She has spent a great deal of time helping organizations scale as well as manage change. Penny is a master coach, board member and past adjunct professor.

More specifically for the past nearly four years Penny has been working for a social impact Venture Capital organization, Omidyar Network, where she is a partner. She is based in London, UK and she supports, advises and coaches entrepreneurs worldwide on challenges associated with start-ups and scale-ups. She is on the board for one of Africa’s fastest growing ED Tech organizations and has also spent over 20 years helping to build organizations as well as managing the implementation side of acquisition and been involved in successful turn-arounds.

Penny was one of the "original team members” who helped to build Proflowers from inception to over 600M, as well as being on the executive team that took the company through the IPO, and she continued in her capacity when the company was publicly traded.
