Mr. D. A. Buckley

D. A. Buckley lived a varied life. Born into a military family with nine siblings his early years were spent on military bases moving every eighteen months. Mr. Buckley came of age during the time of Lost In Space, Star Trek and later with Star Wars. Influenced heavily by Louis L’Amour Westerns and Tom Clancy spy novels he nevertheless always returned to SciFi. A SciFi buff all his life he came to appreciate the limitless pallet that a SciFi story background can provide a talented writer. Time and space are no constraints to a vivid imagination. Any well-written SciFi manuscript can and probably should be a modern example of Aesop’s Fables. SciFi provides a way to explore and examine the complications of modern life. Underpinning all of this Mr. Buckley has had a lifelong love for the Bible and its influence is felt in every story he writes.

Mr. Buckley has been married for almost forty years and has four children and two grandchildren. His career has been a wide trajectory through a military career that spanned the grades from Private thru Captain, from military policeman to Field Artillery Howitzer Battery Commander. He is, like many, a Desert Storm Veteran. Mr. Buckley has been a general manager of Quick Service Restaurants and After-market Auto Parts Stores. He has sold cars and trucks and been the Vice President of a commercial cleaning company. Mr. Buckley has lived in many states including living and working in Alaska, the UK, and the Middle-east. Mr. Buckley is completely at home in the wilderness and currently resides in the Hill Country of South Central Texas.
