Stephen Ahle has been married for over 46 years, has two grown children, and is one of 11 siblings having grown up in Long Beach, CA. He is the fourth oldest and first boy born of 7 boys with 4 sisters.
He has been an educator over 45 years. He has served as a classroom aide, taught grades K-12 in 3 districts, served as a school site principal for 31 years, planned for and opened 2 new schools in Carlsbad ,CA, instructed in the School of Education at CSU San Marcos for 20 years, and currently mentors Administrators in the San Diego County of California for the last 6 years.
As a results he was designated as Teacher of the Year in 1982, ACSA Region 18 Elementary Administrator of the Year in 2002 (principal), California Distinguished School Principal in 2004, California National Distinguished Principal in 2006, and ACSA Region 18 Professor of the year in 2012.
So as a professor, he thought it would be unique to ask students what makes their teachers their favorites in their own eyes? This book does just that! Mr. Ahle has set out to identify these traits from students that he has experienced so all teachers can become memorable as educators and reach their students in their classrooms.
