Jim Crigler

Jim Crigler grew up on a farm near St. Joseph, LA. He taught English and coached football and basketball for a year after completing law school. He practiced law in northern Louisiana for over 40 years. In his spare time, he began jotting down tales told to him by southern story tellers. After retiring from his law practice, he began incorporating those stories into his first novel "Claude's Last Ride". He finds writing fiction liberating after being limited by the rules of legal writing. In addition to writing, he enjoys reading books of all kinds, fishing, spectator sports (especially those involving his grandchildren), and playing tennis. He has three children and six grandchildren. He and his wife live in Baton Rouge.
