Sarah C. Beasley (Sera Kunzang Lhamo) has been a Vajrayana Buddhist practitioner since 2000. She completed two traditional three-year retreats under the guidance of Lama Tsedrup Tharchin Rinpoche and Thinley Norbu Rinpoche. Over nearly three decades, Sarah received guidance from her Buddhist teachers, including Rev. Taitetsu Unno, about animal training, end-of-life pet care, dog temple etiquette, the dying process, and perceiving pets as bodhisattvas.
Sarah has compiled and edited English, Tibetan, and Portuguese dharma teachings for Buddhist nonprofits, and she publishes articles on life and Buddhism for various journals including her column Creativity and Contemplation for Buddhistdoor Global.
