Mary M. Case

The author, Mary Malonie Case, has had a thirty-seven-year career as an educator. She has a master’s degree in education from Wake Forest University and has held various positions at different levels of the educational system.

Mary is a highly spiritual individual whose beliefs and faith in God have been shaped by many dramatic and challenging experiences throughout her life. She has faced adversity in many forms which include abusive relatives in her early life, mysterious debilitating illnesses and the loss of her infant son. Through it all, she persevered and she now believes that by telling her story she can inspire others who may be struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

On the other hand, the author’s life has been positively impacted in many different ways. She considers herself extremely blessed to have two adult daughters and a granddaughter, family members and friends who add variety and spice to her life from day to day. She has visited many different churches, and has served in many different roles, which has strengthened her faith and given her broadened her perspectives of people’s belief in God and how they choose to worship Him.

Mary’s love of writing has prompted her to share her experiences in her first book, “In the Face of Adversity, Giving Up is Not an Option!” She firmly believes in the power of prayer and thinks that a “strong faith in God - or lack thereof – can make a difference between life and death, or illness and well-being.” Her advice to anyone who is struggling and cannot see the silver lining behind the dark cloud is to “hang in there” and “do not lose hope.” In her words, “Giving up should never be an option! Make sure you persevere long enough to reap the benefits of your blessings.”
