Cate Bronson

Cate Bronson is a political science graduate and former investment accountant turned award-winning author whose writing blends analytical precision with deep creative tension. Bronson is a seven-time contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul franchise, focusing on family and dog-driven tales. She received a Writer's Digest award for A BIT MORE THAN WE COULD CHEW, the short story that inspired her current project, a pet memoir, I'M A PEOPLE TOO. Her narrative non-fiction articles highlighting greyhound rescue and adoption have been featured in Florida's premier dog lifestyle publication, The New Barker magazine.

Demonstrating her versatility across genres, Bronson's high-concept debut sci-fi thriller, CLONEDROID: The New Wave, won a Florida Authors and Publishers Association Gold Medal, and for cover design (by artist Deb Von Cannon), the novel took home a FAPA Bronze Medal. Whether crafting speculative suspense or intimate narrative non-fiction, readers and critics have praised Bronson's ability to weave high stakes with profound emotional hooks.

An active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA) and a dedicated supporter of the literary community, Bronson has served as a Florida Writers Association (FWA) critique partner and a youth literary judge for the City of St. Petersburg. She lives in Florida with her husband and co-author, Steve Barry, where she is amused and inspired by their rescued Spanish greyhounds.
