Amy Kosterlitz is an executive coach who works with leaders in law, government, nonprofits, healthcare and business. Amy brings insight to coaching from her diverse professional leadership roles, including: as lead attorney representing corporations and public agencies in complex legal matters and resolving high profile disputes; as a senior partner, building and managing a law firm and mentoring others; as a leader of multi-disciplinary teams on complex land development projects; and as an expert on public task forces and a board member of nonprofit organizations. She is a Hudson Institute Master Coach and Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation
Amy provides support for her clients to better align their professional lives with their values and priorities and to clarify and achieve their goals. Coaching topics often include: enhancing leaders’ confidence and presence; improving skills in management, communication and conflict-resolution; developing a new career vision or advancement plan; finding work-life balance and coping with stress; and navigating transitions. Amy uses stakeholder feedback as a tool to help her clients improve self-awareness and achieve their professional development goals.
Amy consults with organizations on strategic planning, team-building and creative problem-solving. She assists organizational clients to plan and facilitate productive meetings and retreats. Amy has published articles on a number of coaching topics, including, The Four Traits of Confidence: Growth Mindset, Courage, Grit and Self-Compassion, featured in the American Bar Association’s Woman Advocate publication.
Amy is a longtime resident of Seattle, WA where she enjoys activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, and tennis. Amy is an active community volunteer, including Board leadership roles at the YWCA of the Seattle area. Amy loves learning about other cultures through international travel and reading. She is married, a mother of adult sons and a grandmother and relishes spending time with her family.
