As a little Polish girl in a Nazi labor camp, H. W. Zadow dreamed of one day becoming an artist and writer. However, when she became an adult, her dreams were put on hold as she married, raised three children, and became a widow at an early age of forty-three.
The passion to create never left her, and this novel is a result of that enduring dream. In addition to her epic novel, H. W. Zadow has also written many poems in Polish and English, and regularly creates and sells her oil paintings.
All the renderings are the author’s sketches of what she envisions the characters to resemble.
