After completing a bachelor’s degree in business and psychology at Elmhurst College, Rick went on to get his MBA at Drake University and his law degree at Loyola University. Other than for a brief period after college, Rick has spent his entire career in corporate, industrial, and residential real estate. He has completed thousands of transactions locally, across the nation, and around the world. He is licensed to practice in Illinois state and federal courts.
Rick is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, The National Association of Realtors and Realtor Association of North West Chicagoland, and has been an active Real Estate Broker for over 20 years.
In 2009 Rick opened his own law firm, The Rogers Law Group, which has been devoted exclusively to residential real estate closings, mortgage default and foreclosure matters. Over the last ten years, they have helped more than 2,000 people save their homes through foreclosure defense, mediation, loan modification, bankruptcy, and the Foreclosure Friendly strategy. Helping distressed homeowners has been Rick's crusade.
His new book presents a unique strategy to bring Foreclosure Friendlies (ie. investors and homeowners) together before the foreclosure auction to maximize the outcome for both parties.
