Kathleen Marron, master executive coach, leadership consultant, author, and DEIB thought partner, works with leaders, teams, and organizations in a wide range of sectors, especially high stress professions (like law, global business, healthcare, and finance). Kathleen brings to the coaching and speaking field two decades of leadership in business, law and non-profit boards. Her leadership positions include serving in two chair positions with a national law firm, and chairing a national non-profit board. She has hands-on expertise building and leading gender-diverse, multicultural, cross-functional teams.
As an executive coach, Kathleen evokes from clients enhanced emotional intelligence (EI) and other skills needed to navigate change and influence people across differences. She equips them to speak impactfully and lead inclusively. With C-Suite leaders, she provides the much-needed thought partner in complex situations to lead across differences. Kathleen is recognized for her work in EI and in Diversity & Inclusion, and is a sought-after speaker on her trademarked Gender Alliance® map for leading and coaching across gender and cultural differences. She also coaches leaders on advocacy and enhanced communication skills, key components of executive presence.
Kathleen co-authored Fearless Feedback to create the Guide she wished she had when she entered the coaching field. As a former jazz musician, Kathleen firmly believes in the power of practice and value of feedback, which is only valuable if provided with EI- in a way so others can hear and receive it. For practice does not make perfect, practice makes permanent...only Perfect practice makes perfect! So feedback is essential to make sure we are practicing the right things in the right way- with the end in mind.
Kathleen is a Hudson Institute Master Coach, Master Certified Coach (MCC) through ICF, and a Coaching Supervisor. She is certified in numerous coaching tools including on emotional intelligence, leadership styles, conflict and change management, polarity management, Creatrix, and team development. She obtained her JD and BA summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota, mediator training & certification through the Dispute Resolution Institute, and Coaching SuperVision certification through CSA International in the UK.
Kathleen lives in Minnesota, with her husband and black lab Nana, and enjoys spending time with their extended friends and family, especially their two adult children who live and practice law nearby. She delights in the outdoors and in activities such as golfing, hiking, drawing, singing, fishing, skiing, cooking, travel, and photography.
