Michael Strecker

Michael Strecker is a writer from Louisiana. His debut novel, "The Knights of Wade," a New Orleans-based comedic tale, was released in the spring of 2024 by Pelican Publishing. It has garnered high praise in publications throughout the country, including Vanity Fair and The New Orleans Advocate/Times-Picayune. His short fiction has appeared in literary journals such as The Critic and Xavier Review, which have published highly regarded authors including Walker Percy, Flannery O’Connor, Graham Greene and Jesmyn Ward. He is also a two-time Tennessee Williams Literary Festival Finalist. In addition, he is the author of several books for children published by Sterling Publishing and Pelican. He lives in the New Orleans area with his wife Jillian and their two sons Stephen and Joseph.
