Briana Roldan

Briana Roldan is a Non-binary queer poet using gender neutral pronouns: ve, ver, vers. Ve was born and raised in New York City and resides in the Bronx with ver cat, Jack and dog Garbanzo Bean. Ve completed ver Bachelor's Degree in Professional and Technical Writing at the New York City College of Technology, CUNY while working on ver poetry. Briana's first chapbook "Saturn coming out of its Retrograde" published with Headmistress Press, contains 14 poems full of life and emotion and has been named one of 12 best-loved books of 2018 by Headmistress Press! Briana's second chapbook, "The Retribution of a Diagnosis" challenges society's stigma against mental health and illness with 18 raw, daring, poignant, and beautiful poems. "The Retribution of a Diagnosis" has been named a "tantalizing work of art" and is something that will pull at your toughest heartstrings.

Briana's work takes a universal approach toward the significance of digging deeper into who we truly are as human beings through self-love and identity, sexuality, mental health, love, grief, and the deeper connection we have to the universe as we accept the waves of change in all aspects of life.
