Ben Diggs
About the Author
Major Ben Diggs (USAF-Retired) served as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He was director of operations for a cargo airline in Denver, Colorado. He developed and directed an Aviation Studies program at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana where a student may obtain a Bachelor of Science degree and the necessary FAA pilot certifications.
He holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating and has accumulated over 10,000 hours of flying time in a variety of aircraft from supersonic flight in single-engine jet to low and slow in multi and single-engine prop and turbo-prop aircraft. 1,200 hours of flight time was in combat zone. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, and an Air Medal with two Oak Leaf clusters. While stationed on Taiwan, he was presented with Chinese Air Force pilot wings. Ben is a 100% disabled veteran.
While in the Air Force, he had a life-changing experience with the Lord Jesus Christ. Woke up one morning craving fried chicken and knew he was called to preach. He later retired and began preparation for service unto the Lord at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri where he received a Master of Arts degree in Bible and a Master of Divinity degree. He later did work on a Doctor of Ministry degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, but elected to write Royalty in Training.
He served as a missionary-evangelist and teacher to American servicemen in Europe with the Berean Missionary Fellowship, a pastor to churches in Minnesota and Colorado, and Dean of Students and Bible teacher at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. He now serves as an itinerant preacher, teacher, and writer.
