Halie Burton

Halie Burton is an artist, a Firefighter/EMT, a Wildlife Educator, and the author of the prose poetry books "Thaw" and "Aphelion."

The Pennsylvania native has a tendency to get the travel bug and take off to find new experiences, which she then tucks away to use in her future books. She's hopped coast to coast to find new stories, which include fighting fires out west, horseback riding into the backwoods to hunt, falconry, and working on movie sets to name a few. When she's home she can normally be found at the firehouse showing off the fire apparatus to children or curled up at home with a good book, a hot chocolate and her small but ever growing menagerie of animals as company.
