Alison’s journey to success began with rebellion: she ran away from kindergarten three times, was told her high school grades were too poor for university admission, and was warned against karate, horseback riding, and competitive shooting because, apparently, "girls shouldn’t do those things." She ignored all of it.

Fast forward: Alison earned a Ph.D. in physiology and biophysics and spent 30 years teaching medical, nursing, and physiology students. She also earned a Black Belt in karate, rides horses daily, and, yes, she can shoot.
