Michelle Bodden-White

Dr. Michelle Bodden-White has been an educator and initiated Orisha worshiper for more than 30 years. she has always loved to write, and has written many stories and poems. Michelle has a deep respect for the essential life lessons contained in the apatakis, or sacred stories, of her religion. Adapting these stories for children is her way of sharing them with the world.

Her book Obara and the Merchants won Honorable Mention in the Writer's Digest International Self-Published Book Awards. In addition, Obara the Gatekeeper was a National Best Books Award finalist.
