Ghetto Geek

Welcome to my Authors page. I am Ghetto Geek. I am a poet and author. I am also a Master level mental health counselor. I have been in the field of mental health for over 15 years. I primarily work with children. I love helping others heal. I write poetry and have recently begun to write short stories. I enjoy writing poetry because it allows me to express my thoughts and feelings without the use of characters. My poems are a combination of life experience, fantasy and my creative imagination.

I am a lover of nature and you will find that many of my poems include this topic or metaphors. I love to write about life, love and intimacy. I was born and raised in New York. Although I do not currently reside there, my heart and soul will always be that of a New York girl.
